Tradeshows

Plastic injection molding, tools and molds
Watch for the LCS display booth at several of the major window & door manufacturer and vendor trade shows in 2011. As in 2010, we’ll have a booth at this year’s GlassBuild America, Sept 7 – 9 in Atlanta, Georgia. We will also exhibit many of our newest window & door transportation parts at the AMD Convention and Trade Show (dates and location TBD). Watch this space for updates!

Industry/LCS News

Predicting resin prices is only slightly easier than predicting the stock market, but we can get a sense of the trends by cross-referencing the year end announcements of the major distributors. Our expectations are: Polyethylene – up $.06 to $.07 per lb. Q1; Polypropylene – up $.10 - $.15 per lb. Q1. Nylons – up $.10 - $.15 per lb. in the same period. The reasons for this overall spike vary from Chinese ethylene producers being directed to focus on diesel, to stronger demand, to feedstock plant outages.

Industries

LCS is pleased to work for a wide variety of industries, from Motorsports to Recreation to Industrial Shelving. The most unique customer addition in 2010 is a very high-end electric guitar builder who commissioned LCS to make parts for the guitars of top rock, blues and country musicians. We don’t run many of these parts but you can feel the excitement when they’re on the schedule!
